Get to Know Me
Seeking sunshine and a respite from snowy and cold winters, Amanda Nelski moved from her hometown of Detroit, specifically downriver, to Los Angeles over 15 years ago. After spending nearly a decade in the Palms and Culver City area, Amanda has developed a deep love for the diverse neighborhoods and unique communities that make LA such an exciting place to live. With a creative background in visual arts and performance, she brings a unique eye for design and a special appreciation for LA’s historic 1920s architecture.
Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Dance from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Her studies fostered a natural ability to understand people and culture, a skill that seamlessly translates into her real estate career. She approaches every client relationship with empathy, patience, and genuine care, ensuring that the process of buying or selling a home feels both supported and empowering.
Before real estate, Amanda spent over ten years working in the film industry, specializing in craft services. In a department known for being one of the few that works with every other department on set, she honed her ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and work hard under pressure. This experience built a foundation of people skills that translate to real estate, where she enjoys working with and collaborating with a variety of people from different backgrounds.
Outside of real estate, Amanda embraces an active lifestyle. She loves pilates and ballet as well weekend getaways in Joshua Tree and the desert. At home, she finds joy in cooking, hosting friends, and creating inviting spaces that reflect her love for clean, minimalist design balanced with warmth and cozy touches like lots of plants and books, most of which have been read numerous times. She shares her home with two orange rescue cats named, respectively, The Soso Cat and Sandwiches.
Amanda enjoys working with clients who are looking for more than just a transaction. Whether it’s first-time buyers discovering their dream home, sellers ready to move into a new chapter, or anyone in transition hoping for a supported, and stress-free experience. Her mission is to help people feel grounded, confident, and inspired throughout their real estate journey.
