Located right off the Santa Monica Freeway, West Adams is home to some of the most historic neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Many of these neighborhoods have seen a revival in recent years. Jefferson Park: Jefferson Park has one of the most diverse collections of preserved Craftsman-style homes in the United States. University Park: University Park is located off Figueroa and contains USC. You can find gorgeous examples of Victorian mansions near the university, around Hoover Boulevard, and St. James Square. Adams-Normandie: Developed at the turn of the century, Adams-Normandie features a blend of Craftsman and Victorian-style homes. You can find gorgeous examples of Shingle-Style and Tudor-Style Craftsman homes all over the area. Make sure to go to the Van Buren Place Historic District. This collection of six homes built by Percy H. Clark is on the National Register of Historic Places.
